Drag Force Flow (DFF) Sensors

Lenterra’s DFF sensor is an immersion probe that provides continuous real-time measurement of flow force and temperature in liquids and powders. This novel Process Analytical Technology (PAT) tool is the basic part of Lenterra Inline Rheometer (LIR) that enables process monitoring and control in pharmaceutical, food, biotech and other industries.

Key Features

DFF sensors are available in two modifications: S-series and P-series. In the S-series sensors, the sensitive probe (pin) are integrated with the probe holder enabling the sensor to be submerged deep into the flow material. P-series sensors are better suited for wall placement. Either type usually requires an adapter for installation into the processing equipment.

Product Specifications

Pin

Cylindrical hollow stainless steel (316L) tube sealed with a stainless steel (316L) cap, Fiber Bragg gratings are adhered to the inner surface of the pin.

Probe holder

A hollow cylinder (SS 316L) holding the sensor pin on one end and continuing with instrument cable on the other end. It contains optical fibers originated inside the pin.

Material: SS squarelock tube covered with PVC tube Outside diameter: 0.24” (6.1mm)
